wireless connection to a LG tv (Mint 18.3 Cinnamon)

Post by Nitya Deva »

Hi,

Unfortunately, I am not making any progress in connecting a LG TV with my laptop (Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon (Acer Aspire E 15)).
It would work with the cable. But I also want to have it wireless.
Looked a lot around and it seems that I am probably leaking to much experience with Linux at all!
Any ideas?

Thank you very much!

There doesn't seem to be any decent open source implementations of this I can see. The only one I can find is miraclecast, and it doesn't seem finished. I can't find any instance of it working properly for anyone.

Okay. It is a pity. But thank you very much!!!
Looks like I have to travel with a HDMI-wire. Or using Windows again.
