Problem with dual monitor on Acer Nitro 5

Hello, when I connect the second screen through the hdmi and turn on the notebook everything looks good, but when system start the second screen turns black, and if I disconnect and reconnect, many horizontal lines are shown ... I tried updating and changing the drivers but it does not work.

First, where did you get those drivers from? Downloading them from a mfr's site seems obvious to a Windows user but in Linux it's not such a good idea.

So you have already tried installing the recommended Nvidia driver in Driver Manager and then selecting the Nvidia GPU in the NVIDIA Prime applet in the System Tray area, or in the Nvidia X Server Settings utility on the PRIME Profiles page and then logging out and back in?

6) it is connected to an adapter from hdmi to vga, but in ubuntu it's worked, and if I connect it when the notebook is turned on it is shown on both screens until it logs in, then the monitor goes black...

If you have changed back to the intel GPU, then use the command sudo prime-select nvidia again.
When the Nvidia GPU is selected, a special xorg.conf file should be created that looks similar to this:

That’s not happening on your system. First use this command to open the existing xorg.conf file:

Remove the existing lines. Copy the lines above and paste them into the file.
Next, the gpu-manager needs to be disabled. Use this command to open the grub file:

If you still can't get back to the desktop, then enter tty1 again. Log in and then type:

In the menu, select “root - drop to root shell prompt”. When asked for the root password, just type your user password. Then change the file permissions to read and write by typing:

I had several problems with the system and I had to reinstall everything (deleting the UEFI partition with Windows) and all the problems were solved. Apparently the system did not work well because of this.
