Hello,
I use the Linux Mint19 Cinnamon 64bit version on a laptop with Nvidia Optimus technology. I noticed that it doesn't work very well on Linux Mint 19 but it works without problem with Linux Mint 18.x. I installed the last Nvidia driver (390.48) under the Linux Mint 19 driver manager and I also tried the Nvidia 340.xx driver from it. The installed kernel is 4.15.0-23 or 4.15.0-24. After switching from nvidia to Intel with nvidia-prime applet, the nvidia card is still working despite the intel option was checked.
That's why I post this message. What's wrong ?
Thanks.

Re: Big problem with Optimus technology on Linux Mint 19 !!!
In Mint 18, switching GPUs involved selecting the other GPU and then logging out and back in. For Mint 19 you have to reboot.
