I just bought a 27" monitor capable of 2560 x 1440 resolution (having a Display Port and an HDMI port)
Kindly suggest an nVidia graphics card with good Linux Mint support so that I get the full resolution.
I've been researching for 2-3 days now, but am not able to find a solid answer.
I run Mint 18.3 on my Intel P5 system.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: Graphics Card suggestion
Just to make myself clear, I am not a gamer and don't need a powerful card.mntusr wrote: ⤴Tue Jul 24, 2018 4:15 am I just bought a 27" monitor capable of 2560 x 1440 resolution (having a Display Port and an HDMI port)

Re: Graphics Card suggestion
Hi,
I'm using an nvidia GTX 1060 with 2 28" UHD Samsung monitors and that works great (also on Games in full UHD)
As you say you're not gambling that mutch i think an GTX 1030 should be ok too (as the chipset should be the same)

Re: Graphics Card suggestion
Thanks a lot Christian.
Your monitors must be connected to the Display Port, if I am not mistaken.
What resolution are you getting @60Hz? Kindly let me know.
I just saw the nVidia Quadro 400 / 600 cards which costs lesser than the GT 1030.
Anybody using that on Linux Mint? Would appreciate a reply.
