Hello everybody,
I've installed Linuxmint 19 with cinnamon (kernel 4.15) on my laptop Lenovo Thinkpad x1 carbon 6th gen which has a intel uhd 620 embed graphic card.
My problem is that it looks like my laptop running correctly (no performance issue) but the display is laggy. For example, when I play a video on Youtube or vlc or I scroll a webpage, it likes it displays 15 fps
Have you an idea what can i do ?
Thanks for your response

I don't think it has any importance but it's a dual boot, i've got win10 on another partition

Re: Laggy display
Your cpu is an 8th generation model, embedded graphics support still in early development. Hopefully support improving soon.

Re: Laggy display
Double check which session you are logging into from the Login Screen (click the Cinnamon icon next to your user name).
Your inxi output shows you are in Software Rendering mode. Make sure you are not logging into a Software Rendering session
You should have support for your hardware with kernel 4.15.
Have you updated Mesa from outside the standard repos? Any particular reason?
