What Driver do I need?

Computer freezes up whenever I try playing videos and resizing the window or making it full screen. I think I may need a driver.

Go into driver manager and check if the nVidia driver is offered.

Driver manager is an empty list, and sometimes freezes.

Are you running Mint 19? Because that's a quite old Nvidia card (2006), and accordiing to this ...

... the legacy driver (nvidia-304) has been dropped in Ubuntu 18.04, which is the basis for Mint 19. So the open source driver (nouveau) is what you have. Apparently the nvidia legacy driver isn't being maintained any more so it's been deprecated in newer releases.

If you ARE running Mint 19 I'd seriously consider doing a clean reinstall of Mint 18.3, and if you're using the Cinnamon version, that's the wrong one for a 2006 model. Cinnamon has similar hardware requirements to WIndows 8/10. Try Xfce instead if you do reinstall. Then you should be able to install the legacy driver ... try dl'ing a Mint 18.3 Xfce live CD iso, booting that, and then checking Driver Manager. See if the legacy driver is in the list, it should be.
