AMD FirePro W4100 on Linux Mint 19

Post by tplehn » Thu Sep 13, 2018 10:21 am

Hello,

does anyone know any Drivers for this Card? Unfortunately it is not listed in the supported Linux ditributions. I asked AMD support and they said, it is not oficially supported. Only Linux ditros redhat, suse, ubuntu are supported. Since mint relies on ubuntu, I tested this Driver package but with no success. So does anyone know some piece of Software, that is opensource? OpenCL Support for OpenCV is an important issue in our Linux mint Project.

*Advanced Micro Devices [AMD], Cap Verde GL [Fire Pro W4100]
*Intel Device 3e92

To be more specific, the Problem is that I Need _OpenCL_ Drivers for that Card.
The OpenGL renderer seems to work correctly. (2500 FPS@glmark2)

apt-get install opencl-dev

--> does the opensource Driver not support opencl functionality?

thanks in Advance

Thomas
