Dual Monitors and Power Management

Post by taintedsushi »

I have an AMD Radeon R9 285/360. Power management works fine if I use a single monitor.

Activate the 2nd monitor and the screens will not blank and the machine will not suspend. Doesn't appear to even try.

Anyone else experiencing this behaviour. I've tried multiple debian based installations and all seem to suffer from this problem.

Cheers.

Edit: I just disabled my second monitor, observed that power management works when running with a single display, then re-enabled the second monitor. It now works running dual. I wonder if this new behavior will survive a reboot...
