Cinnamon stuck in software rendering mode

Post by rascality » Wed Aug 14, 2019 1:52 am

Hi all!

I installed Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon from USB with no problems, but cannot seem to get out of software rendering mode. I ran all the updates suggested, and didn't find any driver updates.

Code: Select all

~$ inxi -Gx

Graphics:
Device-1: AMD Picasso vendor: Acer Incorporated ALI driver: N/A
  bus ID: 05:00.0
  Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.19.6 driver: ati,fbdev
  unloaded: modesetting,radeon,vesa resolution: 1920x1080~77Hz
  OpenGL: renderer: llvmpipe (LLVM 8.0 128 bits) v: 3.3 Mesa 19.0.8
  direct render: Yes
Do y'all have any suggestions?
R
