[Solved] Nvidia drivers wont work

Post by kekecakici1 » Mon Sep 09, 2019 5:09 pm

I am using Linux mint 19.2 alongside with my windows 10. I can use the open source video driver but I cannot use the nvidia drivers, I have gtx 1070. I can choose from the driver management to use nvidia drivers but when I restart my computer, it doesnt use any video drivers. I checked this website (https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... .html#ID12) tried the solution on 12. But still it didnt solve my problem. Please help!

Have you tried

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall
Because I recently had issues with driver manager and these commands sorted it all out.

*edit Forgot to add, don't forget to restart

It worked! Thanks for help. If anyone can explain why I had this problem earlier I would be glad.
