Add resolution to dual screen on VGA screen

Post by kasydo »

I have 19.2 version.I wanted to add a screen for a friend to test it, and I lost my settings for the VGA-0, HDMI is fine. Xrandr doesn't work.
I want to add 1920X1080, and 1440X900 (this one is my monitor).

Code: Select all

Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 2880 x 1080, maximum 8192 x 8192
DVI-I-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
VGA-0 connected 960x540+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm
   960x540 59.82*+

I found the reason. It is because I had Nvidia as driver and not xorg.
I disable Nvidia , reboot and the errors. disappear.
But I don't understand why Nvidia had only one resolution for the vga monitor. :?:
