Resize External Display

Post by jtp »

* System: ASUS Netbook X200CA; Mint 19 Cinnamon
* External VGA monitor: Acer LCD (AL 1916 C)

* Problem: Lower 10% of the monitor is damaged (moisture)
* QST: How resize the monitor field to cut off the damaged part? Presumably using the rendr command.

Thanks in advance,
jtp

Does this mean you have two displays, laptop and external? Or are you using just one?

Did you mean xrandr?

Considering people have posted complaining the screen does not fill their monitor, I would presume it is possible to do this. Please open a terminal and provide the output of inxi -SMCGx and xrandr --verbose
