3 display slowness

Post by nikvuo »

Hi!

Few weeks ago I changed from Windows to Linux Mint. Now I'm having problem with using multiple displays. When I attach computer to docking station computer starts to be very slow and it does not work as smooth as it worked in Windows. And my laptop diplays has some strange blinking if I take my pointer there.

My sys info:

With that new of a processor, I suggest you upgrade to the 5.8 kernel available in Update Manager.

Open Update Manager. Select View > Linux Kernels and click Continue. Make sure 5.8 is selected on the left panel and then click the top-most option on the right panel. An "Install" button will appear. Install the kernel and then reboot for it to become active.

Thanks for advice. Yesterday it seemed to work little better than before. Laptop display still had some blinking but it was not laggish and slow as it was before.

I'm continuing testing this setup and report if situation is solved or not.

Have you checked to make sure you have the latest BIOS/UEFI?
