I just installed Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon on a Lenovo Ideapad 5 with an AMD Ryzen APU. However, when I boot the machine, I get an error popup stating:
Your system is currently running without video hardware accelaration.
You may experience poor performance and high cpu usage.
As a result, I get sub-par graphical performance. How do I fix this strange issue? I've never had this happen before

If your computer has Renoir graphics then you need to use the 5.8 kernel to get the drivers. Renoir came out after the 5.4 kernel was released, so the Renoir drivers are not included in it.
If you are running Cinnamon, then you could use the Linux Mint 20.1 "Ulyssa" - Cinnamon (Edge, 64-bit) ISO which has the 5.8 kernel.
