Mint 20.4 trouble with graphics radeon R5 on HP portable

Post by pchirouze »

Hello,

I have installed LM20.4 XFCE and also LM20.4 MATE with the same problem.
The login screen is perfect, and when I valid my user account the screen seems with bad resolution or bad synchronisation, or other I don't know. The PC become unusable. Maybe just an configuration in command line can solve this, if somebody knows this and help me, thanks by advance.
Here info about graphics card

Hello and welcome! There is no Mint 20.4; we're at 20.1. Is that what you installed?

If your issue is solved, kindly indicate that by editing the first post in the topic, and adding [SOLVED] to the title. Thanks!

Please provide the full info requested in Section 5 of READ: How To Get Help!.

I helped someone recently in another thread with the same two graphics devices on an HP computer and Mint 20.1 (Cinnamon) installed without any FAILED messages for the graphics. However, HP has made many, many different models of computers, so we have no way of knowing which one you have.

If you are able to take a screen shot or a photograph of this, it would be helpful in determining what the issue might be.
