Occasional screen flickering (to black) when using a 4k TV.

I have already requested help here: https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/9989
but without results :|

Details:
Flickering started when I had to replace my monitor (1920x1080 TV) by a new one (3840x2160 TV).
Fortunately it only happens, on average, three or four times a day. When it happens it usually flickers 2 or 3 times in a row.
It happened with Cinnamon 19.3 and it keeps happening, now, with Cinnamon 20.1. Here are some things I have noticed:
- Flickers have never been observed in full screen mode (movies, pictures).
- TV doesn't switch off: TV settings' dialog stable while PC screen flickers.
- Doesn't seem to be a band-width problem: Happens in 3840x2160_30 & 3840x2160_60 (more in 3840x2160_30); New 8k HDMI cables.
- Flickers not registered in /var/log/Xorg.0.log: File has same length (and time-stamp) before an after a flicker.
- Flickering happens with any setting in 'Settings/General/Compositor Options/VSync method'.
- '$HOME/.xsession-errors' changes every time there is a flicker. Last line is always something like:
'Cinnamon warning: Buggy client sent a _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW message with a timestamp of 0 for 0x8a00085 (*.xsession)'
Copies of '.xsession-errors', just after a flicker:
