Multi Display Question

Post by AndyMcDandyCDN »

Hello all, hope everyone is well.

I have a question regarding Linux and multi display.

Recently the game Pinball FX3 became playable on Linux using the Steam Linux Beta so I decided to redo my virtual pinball cabinet, replacing Windows with Linux Mint but it appears non of the pinball titles I own are able to see that there are more than one display. I even tried inside of the Nvidia control software to make each screen use it's own X Screen instead of all three using the same x screen 0 but no luck.

In Windows, each display has a number and thus, when in the game, you simply choose which screen to have back glass and dmd on but on Linux, the games only see one display.

Is this because of how Linux deals with multiple displays? Is there a workaround or add-on so games can see the other display?

Thanks for reading and I hope I posted this in the correct location.

Have a great day.
