I managed to update BIOS to F.12 version (under Win10). Again, tried to install video drivers using new released, different distributions (OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, Fedora, Elementary OS, Ubuntu LTS and others), different kernels (including oem versions), different methods (including "hard way": installing drivers directly downloaded from nvidia website). I tried installation with Secure Boot enabled, generating and registering key in UEFI. With no success at all.
Finally, I tried install MX Linux MX-19.4.1_x64 KDE, AHS with Secure Boot disabled. The AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) iso features a debian 5.10.24 kernel, mesa 20.3 updates, as well as a new updated firmware packages. That time I was lucky
.
First of all, the Intel video driver was loaded in fresh installation. Then I used MX Linux Nvidia installation wizard. I chose all default options and nvidia 450.80.02 ver was successfully installed. MX Linux uses
Bumblebee technology for switching GPUs, and I m quite happy with that solution.
Then I installed nvidia-settings package, which can be then run:
Code: Select all
optirun -b none nvidia-settings -c :8
inxi -G
Code: Select all

optirun inxi -G

I could benchmark 3D rendering:
On MX Linux, it was necessary to install firmware to detect sound card
Code: Select all
sudo apt install firmware-sof-signed
