(SOLVED) Lost external moniter after installing nvida drivers

(Brand new to linux)
Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon
Cinnamon version. 5.0.5
Kernel Version. 5.4.0-80-generic
Intel© Core™ i5-7300HQ

Monitor.1080p Lg 24GN50W-B
Ratio. 16:9

My issue is, when I have any nvidia driver installed my HDMI monitor stops working. But with nouveau open source drivers it works fine. I need the nvidia driver or any games I play will use the intel I-GPU. I've tried everything I could find but nothing helped.

Use this command in the Terminal to get more info:

In the Menu at the top, select Edit > Select All and then Edit > Copy

Open the Mint Forum reply window and select </> at the top. Press Ctrl+V to paste the copied lines into a code display window.

Remove the xorg.conf file: sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf

The nvidia-prime and nvidia-prime-applet programs are missing. Use this command to install them:
apt install nvidia-prime nvidia-prime-applet

Then switch to the Nvidia GPU and reboot: sudo prime-select nvidia

That didn't fix the moniter issue, and there is also a new thing that happens when I open the nvidia settings.

New development, when I started Linux after swapping from Windows it just started working again. I don't know how or why but both screens are now working. The Nvidia settings screen is fixed, games are using the Nvidia card. Thanks for the help!
