I need to replace my current monitors which are both 1920 X 1080 resolution
I was considering a single ultrawide, but I have just borrowed my son's Samsung C49RG90 49" QLED Curved Ultra Wide and it works but the best resolution I can get is 2560 X 1080, the screen is 5120 X 1440. I have looked on line for fixes and nothing I have tried is working.
Alternatively I am also considering a pair of LG 24UD58-B 24'' 4K, which are 3840 X 2160
Obviously I don't want to buy something to find that it will not work, so can anyone tell me if either of these options is possible.
Running Mint 20.2 with 5.4.0-88-generic kernel
My processor is Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz Socket 1155 8MB Cache with integrated graphics
Also a graphics card Asus GT 610 Silent 2GB DDR3 VGA DVI HDMI PCI-E
Both are HDMI output.
Thanks
Mick

Ahh! that explains it. Time to move to a better graphics card I guess. Thank you.

What resolution do you want to use for your two new 24-inch 4K monitors?
They are too small for the full workspace, too large for Hi-DPI and all intermediate values should cause you some trouble even with Mint Cinnamon.
