How to enable PRIME synchronization on Linux Mint?

Post by Eliotisnotconfused »

Hello. I want to remove screen tearing and it seems as if my laptop is a hybrid.
When I type in xrandr --prop
It shows me:
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 16384 x 16384
LVDS-1-1 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 194mm

If I interpret it right, does that mean that all screens have PRIME enabled, except for the laptop screen that Im using?
If yes, then how do I enable it, in order to get rid of screen tearing? I love Linux, but this is the only thing that keeps annoying me
Thank you for reading and I appreciate every answer.
(Im new to this forum and Linux. If I did something wrong then please tell me.)
Have a nice day!

You need to post some additional info. Use this command in the Terminal:
inxi -Fxrz; echo +; ls /lib/modprobe.d/

In the Menu at the top, select Edit > Select All and then Edit > Copy

Open the Mint Forum reply window and select </> at the top. Press Ctrl+V to paste the copied lines into a code display window.

You used the c menu option, In-line code display, when posting the output of xrandr --prop. This is better for short commands and sections of lines.
