Asus VivoBook S17 M712U Upgraded by Velztorm
AMD 5th Gen Ryzen 5 5500U CPU
AMD Radeon Integrated Graphics GPU
128GB PCIe SSD, 1TB HHD
Full HD Display
Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon OS
So, my computer guy installed Mint on my new laptop, but the Radeon drivers on the update manager do not work with the integrated GPU. I am hoping that Ubuntu developers add the integrated Radeon graphics driver, or I will be forced to go back to Windows 10 on that machine and sell it
Also, the installation had to be manually partitioned since the clean install automatic mode put everything on the small SSD instead of the HHD -- Windows put everything on the HHD, but that's a digression from the post lol.
Does anyone else have issues finding the Radeon integrated drivers?

Re: Driver
Well first thing to do is check the Driver Manager in System Settings, make sure there aren't any other driver options available there.
Next, if it is new hardware, check out the Edge edition.
Also, consider upgrading the kernel. Check in the software update tool, under kernels. I believe 5.15 may already be available there.

Re: Driver
According to this , it was working well by 5.11. The 5.4 kernel in the main release though is definitely too old for that chip.
Re: Driver
You won't find AMD graphics drivers in Driver Manager because of the way they release them, same for Intel.
However updating to a 5.11 kernel is a good idea for Ryzen from what I've seen. You have to reboot after updating the kernel.
