Second HDMI monitor do not work with Linux Mint 20.3

Post by bifidus_activo »

Dear Mint users
I hope you can help me with my Mint 20.3 installation.
I installed the Linux Distro without any problem and using two monitors.
Then (for personal reason) I disconnect and reconnect the monitors (maybe in the other order) but the second monitor is not working anymore.

You do not have the following error message, so your topic will not help.

Code: Select all

xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default

Welcome to the forum, bifidus_activo.

Your output is showing there is no graphics driver installed. Additionally, I am not sure what desktop you installed because your system is showing Gnome which is not a supported desktop in Linux Mint. What desktop, Cinnamon, MATE, or Xfce, have you installed?

Graphics: Device-1: NVIDIA GP107GLM [Quadro P600 Mobile] vendor: Hewlett-Packard driver: N/A
bus ID: 01:00.0
Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.13 driver: fbdev,nouveau unloaded: modesetting,vesa
resolution: 1920x1200~77Hz
OpenGL: renderer: llvmpipe (LLVM 12.0.0 256 bits) v: 4.5 Mesa 21.0.3
direct render: Yes

Is secure boot enabled? You can check by running mokutil --sb-state in a terminal.
