Solved: Screen repeatedly goes black shortly - what to do?

Post by Dan-cer »

Since yesterday, the screen repeatedly goes black for a short time. I have checked the cables, but not yet the graphics card. Is there a test option in Linux? Should I change nvidia driver? Here is the system information:

EDIT://
It is not really solved, but most probably has it to do with loose contact of hdmi input.

It goes black and then comes back?
Lack of good HDMI connection can cause a black screen. The other possibility might be an overheat situation on the GPU.

Yeah, it's pretty clear by now. There was no other black screen moment. It was probably due to the plug connection.
