[SOLVED]LM21 - Intel Gen 12 - HDMI not working

Hello together,
although I read a lot of similar topics, none of the ideas worked for me. So I decided to create a new thread and hope for the best! :D

My Problem is the following:
I get a new Lenove Thinkpad P14s Gen3 and installed Linux Mint 21 additionally to the original Windows installation.
If I connect a HDMI Monitor to the laptop it will not get recognized. What seems strange to me, is the fact that

This is not the first time I've seen this happen on LM21, but I'm not yet sure why it is happening. After booting with the Monitor attached, let's check the Xorg log to see if there might be a clue as to why that is happening. X Server runs the graphics in Linux Mint. Please use this command in a terminal to upload the X Server log file to termbin:

The information in the Xorg log was similar to what is showing in inxi and xrnadr.

In the comments of this blog post I found someone who said they did not get the HDMI port working on Ubuntu, but I do not know if that one the same CPU as you.

Are there any options in BIOS/UEFI with regards to either switching GPUs or related to using ports for displays? If so, what are the options?

No, could not find anything GPU or port related.

I really think, that there should be an HDMI connector entry here:

There is also the possibility there is something different in the bus hardware because of the two types of cores. I did a lot of searching yesterday, but was not able to find any clues as to why the HDMI might not be showing.

Perhaps posting a question on the Lenovo community forum will get the attention of someone who might know why this is happening.

I will do some more searching to see if I can find more info.

Just the regular UEFI firmware update or was it a specific type of firmware? (Sometimes there are separate ones which is why I ask.)
