HDMI port not detected

Post by Trik16 »

Hi everyone,

I've some very annoying but secondary problem that should be good fix: some devices port are nor properly read during the system startup.

If I don't plug the HDMI cable before turning on the laptop the system is not capable of detecting anything connected to the HDMI port after the startup. The strange thing is that this behavior is true even if I plug only the cable, without any device connected to that.

it should be very nice to fix these issues. It happened a couple of times that I need to connect the monitor after the startup and restart the system just to use the monitor is quite annoying...

Now some general info about my hardware and my OS setup:

I've no Windows(bleah) on my laptop, only Linux Mint. Secure and Fast boot are both disabled.
Thank you all in advance for your time :)
