[SOLVED] Incorrect ViewPortIn keeps reverting after reboot

Post by twinklepoo »

I can't pinpoint the exact moment this started happening, but I noticed the issue when I tried to screenshot my whole desktop with non-built-in screenshot tools (stock Mint one works fine). Only the upper part of the screens was captured, so I went to check nvidia settings. I was surprised to see that both my monitors showed double the resolution. I tried to change ViewPortIn and Panning to native resolutions, but for some frustrating reason, the settings reset on each boot. I tried to save it to xorg.conf, but it doesn't want to stick. The native monitor resolutions are 2560x1440 and 1920x1080 respectively. Any help is appreciated, because this has been one very frustrating afternoon.

EDIT:

Okay, I seem to be an absolute idiot, apparently. It occurred to me fractional scaling might be the reason. A bit frustrating, nonetheless, but at least I know why it's happening.
