I would like to buy another card/stick for U.K. digital terrestial tv, so, if anybody has one working in Mint , pci, usb or whatever, could they please tell me make and model.
Kind Regards, and Happy new year to all - Nick

I have a technisat airstar2 pci card and a DigitalNow tinyUSB (twinhan magicbox II) tuner both working well with Mythtv and Kaffeine under the Bianca beta. They are both digital terrestrial tuners.

cheers

Never could find out why the Freecom worked in Dapper and not Edgy

Edgy may not have the firmware for the tuner installed by default.

cheers

ps.s the technisat card is really fast tuning and changing channels.

Hi
Not sure, about the firmware, did do
sudo cp dvb-usb-wt220u-zl0353-01.fw /lib/firmware/$(uname -r)/
Then followed the rest of the instructions in the link (which worked in dapper but not edgy)

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? ... f&t=183297
Maybe the trouble is that Freecom keep changing the firmware (this is not the original Freecom stick) but labeled the same
lsusb gives : AVerMedia (again) or C&E
Its just annoying as its the only thing I cannot get working
Will give it one more go, then order technisat airstar wich I have fopund from £39-£89 in UK
Then will attempt Myth TV (nice to see you got it working OK)
Many thanks for help -Nick
