My monitor resolution ...

Hi,

I am back again to linuxmint ... back from windows 7 ...

My problem is that my mint 10 does not support my screen optimal resolution ...

I have a ASUS VM192D 19" W monitor and intel G33 GMA 3100 graphics ...

The optimal resolution is 1440x900 ...

Here is a screen shot of what available ...

Please help ... I am 10% newbie ...

Have you tried the "Detect monitors" button there?

If the monitor will work with that resolution with your graphic's card, then the /etc/X11/xorg.conf text file could include that resolution, and if supported would work.

I tried to copy/paste the commands ... but nothing happened ... or may be something wrong ... ? :

Is not there an auto thing to do in linux ... ?

Strange, my monitor resolution was just fine until yesterday when I got the same screen you did with the same resolution. It's like it just went away.
