Why is adobe flash player included with the Linux mint distribution?

It's a dead horse . . I haven't used it in over a year.

But . . there are so many websites that only offer flash video. Until many more make the switch to html5, users will want it.

It is far more easier to remove it, if you don't want to use it, instead for a newbie to add it.

This is BTW not only a matter of flash, but e.g. also of the java-browser plugin.

Because only a few months back, users would still have turned away from any Linux distribution that did not come with Adobe Flash Player pre-installed, because Youtube would not have worked out of the box.
