I see that I can add an avatar from either the online selection of national flags, or from a url. I would like to add an avatar that is on my local network, and as far as I know, it is not accessible via url. Any advice?

Hi "km_mcd",

If the avatar cannot be loaded directly into the forum, the just upload the avatar to an image hosting website, like "postimage.org", get a url to that image, and use that in the forum, see link below.
