time to delete/edit most stikies I think
Time to edit some...most of the forum stikies? The topics of course are great but mostly outdated. links are broken, info is often superseded. I just don't find them useful at all. great for posterity but even skipping to the end is less useful than google. Perhaps if the first post is prior to 2018, need to think if it has any value

Good point.

I go through them periodically or when I stumble across one. The "before 2018" rule doesn't work as many topics from before 2018 look to be still relevant today.
I've gone through the list now and unstickied a few handfuls.

Cool. Pierre, All with first post 2014 or older need work/culling. All hardware stuff for sure as things have changed so much, particularly the amd/ati sticky. Anything with more than (pick a number..6?) pages need culling. The starting topics are great of course but way too much old stuff to wade through to be useful for the rest of us. How bout a general redo starting with LM19 era as it seems to be kind of a seed change with ubuntu18.04 and all?

This old post from over 5 yrs ago referred to in a new posting may well be a good case in point as it is using mint 16 which is now EOL as a reference to solving a mint 18 16.04 and/or 19 18.04 type of problem...if the posts refer to systems that are now EOL, they should be purged as no longer relevant ...DAMIEN

Neither the linked topic nor the topic linked to from there are stickies.DAMIEN1307 wrote: ⤴Tue Jul 24, 2018 11:39 am This old post from over 5 yrs ago referred to in a new posting may well be a good case in point...DAMIEN

I do understand the "stickies" part...but i think it needs to go to outdated posting on EOLs as well...they are no longer relevant...DAMIEN
