SOLVED: Missing copy/move to other pane

Post by phh » Sun Mar 24, 2019 1:11 am

Hey,

I've FINALLY got to install Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa on my new work laptop and everything works (Lenovo ThinkPad P52 6 Core- Dual GFX).

BUT (there always is :) ) I'm missing a very important feature i Nemo. On my old Linux Mint 18 desktop PC, I can "copy to/move to" files between panes when right-clicking on a file. I think maybe it has something to do with a new version of Nemo.

Question(s):

1) Is there any way/method to get this function back in Nemo in Mint 19?
3) If yes how?
2) If no. Can i downgrade NEMO (If this issue is caused by new version of Nemo)?

Any inputs on this?

/PHH :?:

You can still Copy To & Move To.

But it is by highlighting the file(s) & then left mouse clicking on Edit..

To see the options on the right click context menu you will need to expand it (small + icon next to the first item in the context menu).
For custom Nemo actions, useful scripts for the Cinnamon desktop, and Cinnamox themes visit my Github pages.
