[SOLVED] Is Mint still available on a USB drive?

Post by EMHmark7 »

Is Mint still available on a USB drive for purchase?

I do not know how to make sure my download copy would be safe.

Thanks. Marc

When you download the ISO, you then verify it before burning it to USB.

https://linuxmint.com/verify.php

You can then be sure it's safe.

I would never buy a USB with a Live Linux environment installed on it; in my eyes, it's just a con, unless it's maybe sold by someone like the Linux Mint developers and the price isn't absurd. Who knows whether it's been tampered with or not, which is a big reason why you never ever get those random sticks you see pre-installed with Linux on Amazon or something. Buy a USB pen-drive separately then 'burn' the ISO onto it.
I'm also Terminalforlife on GitHub.
