Computer brand missing in hardware section

Post by FinixFighter »

Hi! If you go here https://community.linuxmint.com/hardware and search for "Microtech" in the brand section, you won't find it. I think it should be added to it. Microtech is an italian computer manufacturer: https://microtech.store/?lang=en

FinixFighter wrote: Sun Oct 17, 2021 3:43 am Hi! If you go here https://community.linuxmint.com/hardware and search for "Microtech" in the brand section, you won't find it. I think it should be added to it.
Are you using Linux Mint on a Microtech computer? If so, join the Linux Mint Community forum and submit your experience so it is added to the list.

That list is generated by members of the Linux Mint Community. Linux Mint developers do not create that list.

I'm sorry, but I can't understand how. When adding a device in the Linux Mint Community I can't type in the brand; I have to choose it from a list (as shown in the screenshot).

I'm pretty sure it used to be possible to add a new brand if it wasn't in the list, but I also can't find it now. (And indeed this list was populated by LM users, not by us moderators or the developers.)

I'll check with Clem and report back here.

Sadly i don't have an 64 bit AGP 2x system to use my 3DFX Voodoo 3 2000 and test if it is still really supported
