I have loaded Bea onto my computer but fortunately kept Barbara on my other partition as I really like your ubuntu production. However, it appears in your efforts to get Open Office 2.1 into circulation you have omitted to include ...base as I have files in a database format which I cannot use on Bea.
Please could anyone tell me how I can get through this problem. I have tried the usual synaptic package management side of things without success. Please could you also provide the COMPLETE openoffice suite when upgrading in the future.
Thanking you in anticipation
Rod

If you have a BitTorent client point it at Linuxtracker where I have posted the complete OO 2.1 suite as .deb's ( I had to make them as no OO 2.1 debs available for Debian)..... They all work and install quickly just add them to the Applications>Office menu.

Here is the URL: http://linuxtracker.org/torrents-details.php?id=3349

Step 1 "sudo chmod 777 *.deb"

Step 2 "sudo dpkg -i *.deb"

Step 3 "sudo dpkg -i openoffice.org-debian-menus*.deb"

Now you have all the .debs installed and in the correct menu location...enjoy.
