Moar eyecandy for Linux Mint needed !!
Hi !
I 'm using Mint 16 Cinnamon flavour but I think the Windows and other stuff like task bars etc are all gray and boring. I have the Suse Linux on my other drive which has an awesome GNOME and KDE environment.
So, is there any way to "jazz it up" without downloading too much stuff ?
Also, what happened to GNOME ?
The reason for there is that the current PC I'm using would become the centerpiece of our home entertainment system and I would like to have an good looking Distro.
May be I have to install Windows 8.1 ?
Apart from that, Mint is the best. Everything works, especailly the tethering support for mobilephones. Its just plug and play for me !
Great work guys

Thanks man
But is there any "transformation pack", may be for Windows 8.1 or the OSX ?
@killer de bug
Yeah, I'm browsing the themes now but they are not "powerful". I mean they don't change the icon layouts and lauchers etc...or may be I expect too much ?

In the Theme tab of Control center you have an 'other' tab where you can change the icon theme.marX wrote: Yeah, I'm browsing the themes now but they are not "powerful". I mean they don't change the icon layouts and lauchers etc...or may be I expect too much ?
You can found some on the net and install them too: http://numixproject.org/

Why would someone destroy the beauty of Cinnamon with these themes?marX wrote:But is there any "transformation pack", may be for Windows 8.1 or the OSX ?

You are right but...I love the simplicity and beauty of Windows 8.1 and the speed of Linuxkiller de bug wrote:Why would someone destroy the beauty of Cinnamon with these themes?marX wrote:But is there any "transformation pack", may be for Windows 8.1 or the OSX ?

Windows 8.1 is far from simple. It's a giant mess...
Beauty is very subjective. For my part, I think Windows 8.1 is very far from beauty.

You can find an other icon theme here: Nitrux
Re: Moar eyecandy for Linux Mint needed !!
Or you could add "Cairo Dock" as an alternative desktop to boot into if you like the OSx look.
