I had linuxmint.com , a few videos for istall to LM 16, even Ubuntu.
http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1016 mainly 10% how to start the download.
http://www.ihaveapc.com/2010/08/how-to- ... inux-mint/
http://www.yourownlinux.com/2014/01/ins ... linux.html dropped off 50% direction, I continued below
All steps were going great via terminal, was able to set the admin and passwords for all, set the security made short cuts for localhost and where stuff was being placed.
The first 50% of online installs were about on spot, then every single one of them never continued or ended the steps after the
After I finished looking at the three above to make sure I was continuing in the right directions and I was.
Errrr,.... well all the help tips and links above just stopped, I was still flying by the seat of my pants creating passwords when ask, and clicking in the popups in the localhost splash screens. I guess I made it through ok and xampp is install and seems to be installed.
It like there should have been 3 more pages of documentation?? Where are they......
I figure OK let me close each window and make sure nothing else is ask of me that none of the tech url even listed.
I restart the PC, and none of the local files are found, no icons, nothing. ......nothing.....nothing.....
I have got past the bluefish install, browser, wine and other things by installing stuff half blind or 90% blind. I think it a bit sad that it might take 3-6 installs breaking them till one figures out which is the better way of doing it. What should take an hour or less than a day gets dragged out into days

Going to take a break today and go watch a movie

It is getting very very very tiring doing something like 4-6 times to get good results.
