Same here. Nine was about the best. Mint now is more techie-ish and a little slower. Probably more code.
LibreOffic cut and paste not as good as Open Office cut and paste.
No up down arrow at right side of display with no themes that have the arrows. One laptop with 16 still does have the arrows.
No way to connect to Apple devices but not sure any Linux OS does without a lot of extra work.
Still better than Windows and free.

Lindows, Linspire, Freespire, Ubuntu, Mint 15 Cinnamon, Mint 16 XFCE, Mint 17 Cinnamon 64 bit. MInt 18 64 bit Cinnamon.

but the catch is that it's in GERMAN.
The live session is in German
When the DVD boots up and the text "Automatic boot in 10 seconds ..." is displayed > press the Enter button > press Tab > Change the strings "de_DE" in "en_US" and "de" in "us" > press Enter to start the System

In the file ~/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/panel
search for: Synaptic-Paketverwaltung
Replace with: Synaptic Package Manager

In the file manager have been extended to 4 functions:
Calculate MD5 Checksum (in the context menu of all files -> Calculate the MD5 checksum for a file)
Search (in the context menu of folders -> Search this folder for files using Catfish)
Open as Root (in the context menu of folders -> Open the folder as the root user)
Set as Wallpaper (in the context menu of a BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG and TIFF files -> Set images as the desktop wallpaper)
