You better be carefull, all41. In addition to being the long-lost Nigerian prince who sends everyone money (except you, of course), my brother is a world-renown advertisement designer. Here's a sample of his work:

Be careful, or his henchmen will ensure that your computer suffers from dual-type strong dint.

Great that the website & forums are back and running. I knew that it was only a matter of time and that the Mint team was working hard. I have full confidence in them and hopefully this event will serve to make everything more secure now than it already were.

Re-Donk-ulous. LM is not in competition with Microsoft.

Why does MS welcome alternative PC operating systems? To MS everything installed on a PC besides windoze is competition.

OTOH the hack occured outside of the US, so probably not MS.

I'm afraid MS never even heard about such thing as Linux Mint.
Windows assumes I'm stupid but Linux demands proof of it

When I changed my p/w for this forum I saw in my notes that I also have a p/w for Mint community, so I went looking to change it also, but cannot find where I signed it up at.

Can someone please point me in the right direction to the community sign/in?
(sorry if i'm in the wrong thread - didn't want to start a whole new one for my dumb question)
:)

I'm gonna blame "the cloud" (cached content) on this one.
I have cleared forums.linuxmint.com cookies and forced a cache refresh with no change.

Price of popularity
Maybe that  hack that happened is the price of popularity of Linux Mint.
I hope no Linux Distro will ever gain Window$ popularity; because that will attract evil predatory cloud.

So, Clem must do something to decrease popularity of Mint
I don't want start flame wars, but one thing comes on my mind:
To decrease LM popularity, make gnome3 only Desktop Environment on Linux Mint!
