OK, yet another mention of Linux Mint online. It is interesting how Mint, Ubuntu, and Debian got lumped into the same category. I just thought I would share in case someone wanted something new to read.

Even nicer is that it often holds the 3rd spot for some period of time. :D

Logically, they belong together.

PCLOS2009 notwithstanding, I'm surprised PCLOS doesn't get more consideration. I like it better than raw Ubuntu.

Indeed, just because they're based on each other doesn't mean that the previous one is completely superseeded by another.

If any one has been 'watching' the Active Distro rankings on DistroWatch >> http://distrowatch.com

Over all, Mint is #3
For the past 30 days, Mint is #2
And for the past 7 days, Mint is #1

IIRC most distros go up the rankings when a new version is issued, Distrowatch has also commented that the rankings did not reflect the actual OS the visitor was using............

Even though it is totally meaningless, distrowatch ranking cheering is a huge spectator sport in this forum...for some strange reason...

I suppose it is cool to see the distro of your choice at number 1 though, no matter how irrelevant it is.
