I'm not sure if this qualifies as "just works", since at least at the time the Nvidia drivers available in the repository didn't support the 10XX cards, so I had to go get a
newer driver. I haven't checked if the correct driver is available by default now though, so maybe this wouldn't be an issue anymore.
The other slight problem was the keyboard causing booting to take a really long time, but it's
fixable.
Otherwise, everything has just worked, even keeping everything (kernel/xorg/etc) fully updated. The one thing I haven't tried using though is the wifi, because regardless of OS, wired ethernet always just seems to be better.

It would seem that the inxi command doesn't "just work", since it apparently can't see my NVMe drive

The reason there isn't a 4k resolution reported despite having a 4k monitor in the part list, is because I have it scaled down to 1080p. Also, it was most definitely not worth what I paid for it - it does absolutely have better colors and detail, but even if I keep it at native 4k resolution it just isn't hugely noticeable unless I'm specifically looking for it and/or am comparing side-by-side with one of my other screens. Plus practically nothing actually supports the 4k resolution well and even if stuff did support it, there just isn't a whole lot of 4k content that I've seen available. I mean, it's nice, don't get me wrong; but it seems like all those glowing reviews/comments/etc about how awesome 4k is must have been from people upgrading straight from 720p.
