Excellent Video on LinuxMint and why one should migrate from Windows
I don't know if Joe Collins is a member of LinuxMint, but he's put out an excellent introductory video for LinuxMint. He also goes into a bit of depth on issues with Microsoft's recent, post-2007 EULA worries, and why people should be concerned and seriously consider migrating away from Windows and their other software.

Joe Collins certainly tells it as it is...and how right he is...especially about Microsoft's evil EULA...thank God for Linux.

Joe's a tremendous Linux advocate and runs a business helping people to migrate to Linux for a very reasonable fee. Unfortunately Youtube have begun demonetising his videos and he's contemplating throwing in the towel. Disgusting really - there's not so much as a curse word on his channel anyone could take umbrage with. Youtube will just end up full of *beep* and deservedly so.

I love Joe's videos. Not sure what YouTube (YT) is doing. Brian Lunduke (another Linux advocate) is having YT issues as well.

What exactly is YouTube doing to his videos?MintBean wrote:

Demonetising, i.e. deciding that his content is not advertiser friendly thereby cutting off his advertising revenue.Schultz wrote:What exactly is YouTube doing to his videos?MintBean wrote:

Credit to those who watched and listened to the end. The guy is worse than a televangelist. I could only do 10 minutes before I lost interest in listening to this crap.

<OFF TOPIC RANT>
There are a number of people I follow on YouTube, and some organizations as well. A couple are political in nature; most are not.
The sad fact is YouTube is basically demonitizing tons of content providers, many of whom are still using YouTube for content delivery, but are using other crowdfunding platforms, particularly Patreon, to derive an income.
As to whether this is part of some grand scheme on Google's part, I really don't know. I could sort of maybe understand them demonitizing anything that gets into politics (I've heard bits and pieces about why this is being done, and I thoroughly disagree with Google about it) but most of the rest are putting out content which Google can't possibly have any legitimate reason to de-fund.
I support Google in the sense that I use many of their products and services. I'm actually fairly dependent on a number of them, and not that I couldn't possibly stop using them, but there really isn't a practical wholesale drop-in replacement for them at this time. However, if for example UBports gets their stuff together, they could possibly become a viable replacement. They'd need more staff and more funding, which of course is the real sticking point. However, I've seen stranger things happen and longer shots come to pass, so I'm not ready to totally give up hope on them.

Getting bored of listening someone on Youtube? Do what I do: play it at x2 speed
Maybe that helps.

Wow! I knew YT was discouraging viewers from watching what they feel are politically incorrect videos. However, since when is it politically incorrect to tell the truth about microstuck's mind-control of the unwashed computer-using masses?

Is x2 speed still not fast enough?
Download the video with youtube-dl and play at x2.5 or x3 speed on VLC.
