Linux Mint 18.2 Do not shut down
Everything is working pretty pristine and good, that only problem that I have is that It won't reboot or shut down. I love Linux Mint but this is the first time that happen; I'm pretty new in Linux, so if somebody can help me out with this inconvenient it would be great. Thank you in advance.

Get more clues. Open a terminal and type
sudo shutdown
and look at the output. If you want to save the output, redirect it.
sudo shutdown > shutdownoutput.txt
Post the output if you do not understand it.
