On my desktop I have two HDDs...my main HDD Cinnamon 18.2 and my Test HDD Cinnamon 18.2...both 500GB.
The other day I decided to Upgrade my Test HDD to Cinnamon 18.3 and if anything happens...I'll just Re-Image the Drive. I've never Upgraded...so I didn't know if I was about to wipe the HDD.
It worked like a charm...did take some time but when the Upgrade finished...I Booted to the Desktop...everything worked perfectly. At first glance it seemed nothing had changed...but System Info now said Cinnamon 18.3 and now have the new Software Manager too.
Since switching to Mint full time some 17mths ago I've never looked back...I'm no expert and that's the beauty of Mint...you don't have to be...so thanks Mint Team.
Upgrade Cinnamon 18.2 to 18.3
