MY NOOB Experience

Hello ..

I would like to make it clear, as was my experience with Linux Mint.
I did not do any dual boot.

What I've learned ...

I, want to make it clear that I had in my choice, replace everything, everything in Windows.

I had never install or use Linux Mint before and everything was very confusing, but I learned a lot.

I have read tutorials on what should be done, before and after installation, proceed and etc.

What, I can leave legacy to people, please, I'm Windows user, the only thing I know of knowledge that seems to be advanced is the use of basic Photoshop tools, getting results and graphics effects, looking really good, I was able to transport and start migrating to Gimp and Mint ...

Well, if I were to install today what would I do?

Backup all your data documents external hard drive and follow these steps.

You need go in these 2 places to have information, really relevant:

https://www.linuxmint.com/documentation.php
https://sites.google.com/site/easylinux ... amon-first
https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/20

I recommend install the MINT twice.

01- The first to learn:

Software:

ALWAYS USE Software Manager

I install the system and drivers, I would download at least, for example a music player of 2 versions, besides the one that came installed, to have 3 options and to discard one of the download, to keep the standard version that came with the system, use a second option.

Because, even if you know that the best program, is really the best, sometimes the other programs, makes you understand how the best programs works.

For example, Gimp is the best to replace Photoshop, however, I just understood it because Krita, has a simple interface and mechanism, using it, I could understand the Gimp ...

You can not use other office program you only need is LibreOffice.

Once everything is installed, tested and you have learned to use the certain main programs, you will probably try to customize the theme and etc ...

Well, a lot of confusion, it will happen my friend ...

You will then realize that the Mint interface is already the best, NO needs to be changed ...

You just need to understand, how does the interface work that is simple, similar to Windows, but much more different because you never used something that did not have to be changed ...

So, you're going to make updates, this is going to give you confusion too ...

Note, if you are a Noob user, like me only use the level 1 and 2 minimum the colors of green, as in the photo below:

https://sites.google.com/site/easylinux ... sonya4.png

So, my friend after all this, you will learn all you can and what you really need to do a new installation from scratch

following the steps in this page ONLY:::::!!!!!!!!!!!

https://www.linuxmint.com/documentation.php

adding the steps of the above page always remember:

1- Install Linux Mint on your entire system.
2- Install your recommended drives.
3- install the language packs
4- USE The Timeshift
5- ALWAYS USE Software Manager install only one or other application, that you really need that is not pre-installed.

NEVER INSTALL THE WINE

UPDATE

Do as in the photo:

Be happy, with the theme that came, maybe change the wallpaper ...

LINUX MINT IS THE BEST OS I USE IN ALL MY LIFE
