Linux Mint Tara: the first 64-Bit-only Linux Mint OS?
I have concerns: will Linux Mint 19 "Tara" have a 64-bit-only architecture, following suit to Ubuntu Linux?

If Ubuntu don't release a 32-bit architecture with 18.04, then I guess that's the way it is.

Canonical Inc has also released 32bit ISO for Ubuntu 18.04 Beta 1 ... http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-budgie ... 04/beta-1/ and https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2018/03/ubu ... or-flavors
....... So, LM 19.0 Tara should follow suit.
It was quite a scare that the recent Ubuntu 17.10 ISO was 64bit-only.
So, it's likely that Canonical will only make Ubuntu 20.04 64bit-only.

You're linking to Ubuntu Budgie 18.04, which is a derivate ("flavour"). Some flavours of 18.04 do indeed feature a 32-bit edition.michael louwe wrote: ⤴Thu Mar 15, 2018 5:17 am Canonical Inc has also released 32bit ISO for Ubuntu 18.04 Beta 1 ... http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-budgie ... 04/beta-1/ and https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2018/03/ubu ... or-flavors

But Ubuntu 18.04 itself is 64-bit only: Canonical has officially abandoned 32-bit for 18.04.
In my opinion, it would be a good thing if Mint would do the same as Canonical. The efforts of the small developers' team of Mint, can probably better be focused on 64-bit.
Owners of 32-bit-only machines, can simply continue to run Mint 18.x until 2021. By then, the last 32-bit-only machines can be handed over to your local museum.

Oops.! My apologies. ... no more 32bit
The Ubuntu 18.04 mini.iso still has the 32bit edition ... https://askubuntu.com/questions/1014149 ... -installer
I think similarly for Xubuntu, Kubuntu and Lubuntu 18.04 32bit.
