The beta is not going to be released until monday 6/4/18. According the Clem
All 3 editions of Linux Mint 19 (Cinnamon, MATE, Xfce) are currently in QA. The various bugs which were found were fixed and we’re expecting them to pass QA tomorrow. We’re planning the BETA release for Monday the 4th.
- per monthly blog. So you will have to wait till Monday.

I installed Ubuntu 18.04 and enabled Tara with Linux Mint Pinnings.
I have been running it for 2 weeks with no problems at all.
Hard part was with installing and configuring the new wine version.
To run Adobe AIR.
I will still check out the iso when I comes out on Monday. :D

No. I'm in no hurry: 18.3 is working fine. I'm going to wait until it's good and ready. Mint is my OS, not my project... :)

YUP - - currently got LM19.32 Mate to play with, in a VirtualBox, of course.
8)
there is a System CheckPoint, at the time of installation complete,
and TimeShift is also engaged, too.

so, there is lots of redundancy, if it screws up, in the next few weeks or so.

I downloaded the Linux Mint 19 “Tara” Cinnamon Edition (Beta) and flashed it to a USB. I fiddled with the live version but I'll wait until the final version is released and then wait a little more just to be sure. The live version seemed to work without any problems I could see from the brief time I had it running.

Timeshift Restore is not always 100% reliable, especially after a buggy kernel or CPU microcode update – similar to Windows System Restore being not 100% reliable.
....... Also, it is a hassle and not easy to do a Timeshift Restore after a buggy update has borked the system.

If Timeshift in LM 19 is activated and all Level updates are applied by default, this may not bode well for the future of LM, especially for newbies.

I have been running it since Saturday when it was found that the iso was live on the mirrors. I find it polished and very stable. Running Cinnamon 64bit with cairo dock.

Yeah... I always ignore good sense and install the beta over the previous version on my daily driver as soon as it's available. It hasn't let me down yet, and this time is no different.

Everyone does what they can. Some people donate money, others contribute in other ways like testing beta releases and reporting bugs.

I'm testing Cinnamon edition in a VM. Absolutely wonderful. The interface is very, very responsive for running in a VM, looks very promising when it will run on physical machine.

Look and feel and new icons are just splendid. Amazing work.

Will install it as soon as it's released.

I've been running it since Friday afternoon and only one issue, the issue with installing .deb files with gdebi. Updated libraries so now ESO looks/plays perfectly with DXVK.

You just haven't updated it enough. Opinions by newbies who have been using something for 1 day are not exactly useful.
