Mint 19 XFCE BETA.
Up and running fine on my old Acer Aspire 5315 Laptop (Core2duo and 3gb of Ram) Just had to add- 'video=SVIDEO-1:d' -to grub cmdline to circumvent a lot of start up error messages causing prolonged Boot times.

that does indeed sound good - - better than running it in a VirtualBox,
