Icaria would also be Greek in origin and start with I and end with an A...
but I still think Illyria is best due to the connection with Helena.

Well now i see Inna is quite popular outside of Romania. Why not use her real name Alexandra (comes from the greek ALEXANDRAS - protector of people)

Names that i like:
Cristina
Natalia
Diana
Celia
Isabela
Adelina
Lavinia
Selena

We need a name that starts with 'i' for Mint 9. My favorite one so far is Illyria. I don't like Isabella.

Couldn't we integrate a pool here? It would make things easier and more organized, but it's just a suggestion, though.

Btw, +1 for Isabella. Ida is nice too.

who cares, just make it stable and work......

and frankly speaking, IMHO, the names are silly, just call it Mint OS, plain and simple, the girly names are a tab stupid....

I know this will fall on deaf ears but Mint 9 sounds fine. Very easy to tell the difference between, Mint 7, Mint 8, Mint 9, Mint 10, etc. Why make things complicated?

May I change my vote? I just realized that one of my favourite female names is Ilaria (from ancient latin, joyful) and that would fit quite well... :D

Ima

Means "now" or "present" (like current). Couldn't be more straight forward.
